The Horizon is Mine

One foot on the earth, one in the water.. Surface and deep and back again. Direct eye contact, straight and head on. Facing unflinchingly, you and my innermost self, without hesitation. Gazing at the surface while peering within. The surface is calm, only I have intimate knowledge of how very deep it runs. Twilight is upon us and the moon is full. I continue to find balance between what lies within & what exists outward. No subterfuge, no masks or filters. This is what is, this is who I am. Take it or leave it as you will.. I dare you to take in all of me. I shy from nothing & will not yield. I see through your walls & defenses, there is nothing left to hide. This immense, beautiful view from beneath is absolutely breathtaking. I can see everything from here. I’ve always been commanded by this chaos, this torrent of violent emotion, pushing, pulling, drawing at me like the most powerful of tides. I’ve learned and continue to learn to rein it in. To use it, to control & wield it. Redirect it. It is a huge part of my power and I am vibrantly aware of its fine balance. I choose the direction. I lead the way. That simple knowledge is all the control I need. Absolutely nothing stands in my path.

The vastness of the horizon is mine and I continue on, steering myself in the direction the ocean of my soul takes me.
